DISTRIBUTION :-Very common on Hong Kong island and in the Territories e.g. on Violet Hill, Victoria Peak, Mount Nicholson, Mount Parker, Tai- mo-shan, Ma-on-shan, etc. Grows as a general rule in dense shade on earthy banks near water, or best between stones where decaying leaves have collected in shady, rocky, humid valleys.
FLOWERING SEASON:--Mid February to mid April.
